GHFA Seeking Applicants for First Cycle

2019 Community Health Grant Awards Program

Deadline to Apply for First Cycle 2019 Funding is February 1st

The Georgia Healthy Family Alliance (GHFA) is currently seeking applications for the first cycle of the 2019 Community Health Grant Awards program. Grant awards of up to $5,000 are awarded to GAFP member affiliated organizations that support GHFA program priorities including underserved populations and community programs that promote healthy practices consistent with the principles of Family Medicine. Current GAFP members including medical students, residents and active/ life members are eligible to apply. The application deadline for first cycle 2019 awards is February 1st. First cycle grant awards will be announced in March 2019.

Over the last six years, the Community Health Grant Program has given more than $222,000 in grants back to GAFP members, residency programs, FMIG groups and their communities including the Morehouse medical student sponsored H.E.A.L. On Wheels project pictured below.

The second cycle application deadline is May 14, 2019 and the final application deadline for 2019 grants is July 9th. Visit www.georgiahealthyfamilyalliance.org/grants/  to download the 2019 application or view a list of previously funded grant projects.
