GAFP leader, Dr. Adrienne Mims, represented the Academy at the May 6th signing of SB109/POLST legislation into law. The Georgia Academy, along with the Georgia Alzheimer’s Association initiated successful POLST legislation three years ago. This bill will further advance end of life care for Georgia’s patients. Key legislators that assisted with this legislation included Senators Nan Orrock, Renee Unterman and Representative Sharon Cooper.
