Augusta Family Medicine Residents presents the Tar Wars tobacco prevention program to 5th grade students at S.D. Copeland Elementary in Augusta, Georgia

Augusta Family Medicine Residents (from L-R) Drs. James LaPere, Christina Anyikwa, Kayla Leach-Frasca and Richard Hayden Self recently presented the Tar Wars tobacco prevention program to 5th grade students at S.D. Copeland Elementary in Augusta, Georgia. In addition to learning about the dangers of tobacco use, the students also received information on second hand smoke and avoiding new and emerging tobacco products like E-Cigarettes and Hookahs.
