Registration Now Open for the GAFP Scientific Assembly

Registration is now open for the Georgia Academy of Family Physician’s Annual Scientific Assembly. This year’s four-day conference will be held at the Stone Mountain Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort November 7th -10th and will offer up to 48 AAFP Prescribed credits* and up to 24 AMA PRA Category 1 credits for attendees. This educational activity was developed for family physicians, and the information is appropriate for other primary care clinicians and office staff interested in improving patient care. Upon completion of the activity, participants should be able to 1) identify family medicine practices that are relevant to the well-being of their patient population, 2) recognize and describe current diseases, and offer proper diagnosis, management and treatment options to patients and their families, and 3) apply evidence-based treatments to effectively manage patient care.

This year’s meeting will cover current topics and workshops that highlight conditions and diseases that affect our communities.  We will have workshops focused on Palliative Care and Pain Management and Alzheimer’s.

We will also provide four Knowledge Self-Assessment Modules (KSAs), on mental health, maternity care, well child care and hospital medicine. In addition to lecture tracks and workshops, there is education on diabetes, hypertension, human trafficking, and opioid abuse.  There is something for everyone who attends the meeting.

Conference activities also include the All Member Party & Casino Royal, which is open to everyone whether you are attending the Scientific Assembly or not. Early bird tickets are $75. Don’t miss out! Click here to register.
