First Session of the GAFP Annual Congress of Delegates to Meet Remotely

Due to its popularity last year, the first session of the Congress of Delegates will be held via conference call and webinar on Thursday, November 6, at 6 pm.  This will allow all members to hear the resolutions being presented, ask questions and speak in favor or opposition to proposed policies and procedures.

The call in number is 1-800-791-2345, call in code 14297.  There will also be the ability to view a webinar, and the registration link is below.  In order to be on the webinar, you MUST register in advance through the link.

Discussion and debate will be heard on all resolutions that are listed on the website:  Click on “About” – 2014 COD Resolutions is a link in that section.  A reference committee (selected from members of the Congress of Delegates) will hear all of the debate and then develop a report with recommendations to the full Congress of Delegates.  The second session of the Congress of Delegates, where final debate and voting will take place,  will be from 1 until 5:30 pm on Sunday, November 16, at the GAFP Annual Meeting at the Westin Buckhead in Atlanta in Ballroom A.   All GAFP members are eligible to attend – but only COD delegates, officers, and past presidents have the ability to speak to the issues.

The 2014 COD Handbook is available on the GAFP website for members to download.  Click on the About section where you will see the 2014 COD Handbook as a dropdown, and download it from there. All of the information that you need to participate in the 1st Session of the Congress is in the Handbook, including all resolutions.
