Residents/Medical Students – Check Out New Website - The American Academy of Family Physicians’ Virtual FMIG site recently went through a redesign. You can check out the new look and content at the following web sites:
The URL is http://fmignet.aafp.org. The Residency URL is: http://fmignet.aafp.org/residency.xml. Leadership/Service is http://fmignet.aafp.org/leadershipservice.xml.
The Family Medicine section (http://fmignet.aafp.org/x25.xml) provides information on training requirements, practice and career options, income and the Future of Family Medicine Project. We also now have a clinical resources section, http://fmignet.aafp.org/clinicalresources.xml, that includes information on such topics as Evidence-Based Medicine, Clinical Practice Guidelines, and Online Journals for example.

ELECTIONS: Each November, residents elect the Resident delegate and alternate delegate to the GAFP Board. The responsibilities are to be in close contact with your peers and report back to the Board when they meet four times a year. Additionally:
Delegate: The resident delegate is invited to attend all GAFP Board of Directors meetings and shall attend the National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students to represent the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians.
Alternate Delegate: The resident alternate delegate is invited to attend all GAFP Board of Directors meetings and shall attend the National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students.
Duties are to be in close contact with your peers and report back to the Board when they meet four times a year.
List Serv for Residents – New Member Benefit for Physicians in Training - You've been asking for it.....and here it is.......a list serv for Georgia Residents to "talk to each other". Please take a moment to subscribe to the list serv by doing the following:
